Hi, This is Choco. This blog was write before the river festival...
It's now in the middle of summer here, and sweat drops even while sitting.
I'm writing this blog, being thankful to an electrical fan.
Ishinomaki's river festival is just around corner.
Events of "STAND UP WEEK 2012 are ongoing in various places.
I have participated in two symposiums of them.
The symposiums were held four times in the week.
Here is the schedule.
23 Jul. Mon: First evening
"Local Power Now"
Site: Peace Boat Center
24 Jul. Tue: Second evening
"Ishinomaki Ladies Meeting"
28 Jul. Sat: Third evening
"Mono-zukuri - Machi-zukuri (Manufacturing - Town development)"
Site: Ishinomaki Craft Center new annex
29 Jul. Sun: Fourth evening
"Local Power Now 2"
|Second evening -Ishinomaki Ladies Meeting|
|Final day - Local Power Now 2|
I participated the second and the fourth evening.
Seven to ten people gave a presentation by using twenty sheets of twenty seconds slide.
A symposium may sound too serious, but STAND UP WEEK is different.
Everyone was really companionable, and I could tell that everyone really loved Ishinomaki.
I will have individual reports later.
Special thanks Megumi and Dom
